Lowell has been designing building and operating fishing boats for over 35 years. He has designed and built 50 + vessels. Years of experience fishing and passage-making between the Bering Sea and the Columbia River have given Lowell the experience to design and build rugged, quality, effective craft that will withstand years of hard commercial use.

 He continues to provide consultation and design work for business and owners wishing to improve performance of their boats by adding bulbous bows, engines sponsors, particularly rudders and steering systems.

 His innovative designs have pioneered many notable features, including the reverse (gullwing) chine and propeller tunnels in high-speed vessels. He experimented on his own boats to perfect the design and construction of his high-lift DEFLECTOR MARINE RUDDERS.
